Empowering youth to lead the fight against non-communicable diseases through education, peer support, and community action.

Program Overview

The Circles Volunteer Program is a youth education and vocational training program that began in 2021 with the pilot phase which provided opportunity for eighteen (18) volunteers who were selected from 189 applications via a competitive process. The pilot phase ran for three (3) months from February to April 2021.with intensive evaluation. After graduation and evaluation of the pilot phase participants, it was noticed there was magnificent impact created which caused RADA to consider this program as one of her flagship programs which has seen a 1st and 2nd cohort hosting and impacting over 45 young graduates from universities with productivity skills.

The Circles Program offers training on leadership, Grants Writing, Advocacy, Life Planning, Personal Development, Emotional Intelligence, Social Media Communications, Media Communication, Servant Leadership, Basic Microsoft Skills, Time Management, Self-Care and Resilience just to name a few. it is RADA’s strategy to both provide an opportunity in which young graduates meet their capacity development needs while strengthening their work skills through volunteering. It seeks to select the most stable, best suited, motivated, honest and focused individuals who want to contribute to community development and create impact through their engagement with RADA.
 
The CVP is a six months volunteering opportunity for young people who are inspired by RADA’s work, want to contribute to it. This time, it will run from February 13 to August 18, 2024. During the volunteering period, CVPs are considered a staff of RADA and operate under the same conditions and circumstances as the rest of the staff except for additional workshop hours for complementary work skills that may be needed.
Why we do this.
The overall goal of the program is to strengthen behavioral and productive skills and strategies in fostering community engagement and development in the lives of young graduates in Cameroon.

Key Achievement

The 3rd cohort of the CVP call was launched in January 2023 after which a serious selection session took place laid down criterial. On the 14th of February, an orientation session was conducted to onboard the participants to the program. The program is at peak now with lots of training models handled, practical sessions and a debate session
